Alexa Breaux, D.D.S.
Dr. Alexa Breaux was born and raised in Houma, Louisiana. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she competed on both the cross country and track & field teams and completed her undergraduate degree. She then went on to earn her dental degree from the LSU School of Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Breaux hanging out with family and friends, exercising, baking and trying new restaurants in the city.

Aatiqah Khalid, D.M.D.
Dr. Khalid was born in India and grew up in Missouri. She graduated magna cum laude from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in International Studies. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree and a certificate in Dental Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Khalid went on to complete a General Residency program at LSU Health Science Center School of Dentistry. During her time off, Dr. Khalid enjoys traveling with her husband, working out, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Joseph R. Lacoste Jr., DDS
Dr. Lacoste was born and raised in the New Orleans area. After graduating high school from The New Orleans Academy in 1972, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He then went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1980. Dr. Lacoste is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the New Orleans Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He always finds time to be with family and friends, and enjoys fishing and playing music.

Dr. Jonathan Nguyen was born and raised in New Orleans. He received his undergraduate degree at Xavier University of Louisiana and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen’s hobbies include playing music and learning new musical instruments. He is a pianist and would like to learn the guitar.

Katie O’Friel, D.D.S. – Orthodontist
Dr. Katie O’Friel was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry and completed her orthodontic residency there as well. In her free time, Dr. O’Friel enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and going on long walks with her two dogs, Chewy and Popeye. Dr. O’Friel looks forward to providing excellent orthodontic care to all of her patients at Louisiana Dental Center.

Eastman Excellence in Operative Dentistry award and received recognition for outstanding achievement from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.Before her dental career, Dr. Tran volunteered on mission trips to Guatemala and Brazil, simply wanting to help those in need. During dental school, she had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic and provide dental services to underserved communities. These experiences strengthened her commitment to creating a welcoming environment for her patients, ensuring their comfort and a positive dental journey.

James Vegrzyn, D.M.D.
Dr. James Vegrzyn grew up in Carol Stream, Illinois just outside of Chicago, where he played football and baseball. He trained at Boston University for his dental certificate and is now training at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry for his certificate in Oral Surgery. Dr. Vegrzyn likes to work out, fish and watch football.

Born and raised in Slidell, Dr. Wiggins is a proud lifelong resident. He is a Slidell High School graduate; he also earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the LSU School of Dentistry. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is married to Amy Hall Wiggins, and they have 2 sons, Brandt and Cole.
